Chicago will receive over $4 billion in federal COVID relief.

We need our relief funds to rescue our communities, not big banks or police!

Last year, Chicago spent $281 million of the first COVID relief package on the police department. That made up 60% of all discretionary funds the city received.

The American Rescue Act will send over $4 billion in relief funding to the city of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago Transit Authority, and state and county agencies serving Chicago residents—including $1.8 billion in unrestricted funding to the city of Chicago.

This time around, we must make sure that COVID relief reaches the people most in need, not bloated police budgets.
